Thinking Of Building A Sunroom?
Thinking of building a Sunroom? Here is what you need to know. When we build Sunrooms they generally have a concrete tile roof or natural slate roof to match the roof finish of your home. To support this amount of weight and also allow for another 2ft of snow on the roof the main superstructure must be well designed to cope with the weight load. Conservatory Designs build engineered designed steel super-structures to support their Sunroom designs. This steel structure can be designed so that the sun-room will benefit from the maximum amount of natural sunlight by incorporating a pavilion front to the Sunroom. This design allows the light to penetrate back into the room due to the full height to ceiling glass design to the front. The photographs below show a typical sun-room under construction, the Pavilion front to the sun-room will feature glass units spanning 12ft high from the Sunroom floor. The steel structure is welded on site for maximum strength and with 100mm sections is not obtrusive to the eye. We also offer a tile effect lightweight roof sheeting for sunrooms which reduces the need for the steel structure.
